The challenge
Clinicians faced a wall of charts that treated every reading as equally urgent. Real deterioration hid inside the noise, and alarm fatigue meant the important alerts were the ones most likely to be dismissed.
The approach
We designed around escalation, not observation: trends get summarised, thresholds adapt to the patient, and the interface stays quiet until it genuinely needs a human. Every alert carries the context to act on it.
The outcome
Alert volume dropped by two thirds while catch rates went up. Nurses describe the dashboard as quiet — which is exactly the point.
