Harbor’s dispatchers juggled nine tabs to move one container. We gave them a single board that tracks every shipment in real time.

The challenge
Shipment state lived in nine systems that didn’t agree with each other. Dispatchers reconciled them by hand in spreadsheets, and a mis-typed container number could take a day to surface — usually at the port gate.
The approach
We built one event stream as the source of truth and a dispatch board on top of it. Every container carries its full history, exceptions rise to the top, and the map view answers “where is it” before anyone asks.

The outcome
Dispatch went from nine tabs to one board. Exceptions get caught hours earlier, and the morning reconciliation meeting simply stopped happening.
