Helios.

Helios Grid ran on a dashboard their own operators dreaded opening. We rebuilt it into a live view of the network that loads before you finish blinking.

The challenge

The legacy tool re-queried five systems on every page load, so the median dashboard took over three seconds to appear → long enough that operators kept a spreadsheet open as a faster backup. Confidence in the numbers had quietly eroded.

The approach

We moved aggregation to the edge, streamed updates over a single socket, and rebuilt the layout around the three decisions an operator makes each shift. Everything else moved one level deeper.

The outcome

The dashboard now paints in under 300ms and updates live. The backup spreadsheets are gone, and the same view runs in the control room and the board deck.
